Community Survey 2026

Following the community feedback event in Sep 2024 a new charity -  Thornwood Community Green SCIO - was set up in Sep 2025, with 6 local people as the founding Trustees.

Thornwood Community Green SCIO has been in negotiations with Glasgow City Council via the People Makes Glasgow Communities (PMGC) asset transfer programme about a lease for a small area of land to the west of the pitches.

As part of the PMGC process Thornwood Community Green need to do some further community engagement work including this updated survey.

It would be appreciated if you could take a few minutes to complete this survey and share your views.

Community Survey 2024

Love Thornwood worked in partnership with Glasgow Eco Trust and Glasgow Community Food Network Food & Climate Action project as well as local Councillors and Glasgow City Council's Education Services to find out how interested the Thornwood community would be in improving the old blaes pitches at Thornwood Primary School.

In the Spring 2024 we ran a community survey to allow people to share their views on the potential for a community greenspace, growing space or similar that could be used by the Primary and Nursery schools and the local community.

The survey ran for 8 weeks and we had 162 responses.

The infographic below provides a summary of the key results.
